11. 6-27 My Morning Jacket - The Tennessee Fire [Southern/Indie Rock] (1999)
This album felt different to me, coming from other mmj albums. It was a lot more lo-fi, and more acoustic, almost to a fault. This Album was almost too expansive, as well, with its 16 tracks clocking in at over 57 minutes. One thing I did like about this album, however, was its earthy feel, it was a different kind of earthiness though, then say, the growl, it felt more like something pulled out of the ground than something that rolled around in it, I liked this LP, I just wish it was more energetic.
